Running Apps

Apps can run on both the back-end and front-end in either development mode or runtime mode. The mode is set automatically based on the user’s authorization level. Development mode is available to administrators only. Other users are generally not authorized to access builders and wizards.

App builders – Table Builder and Form Builder – are available from the app’s top toolbar for the master table. For relationships, builders are available from the builder buttons in the table and form footers. Builders are supported on both the back-end and front-end. Front-end builder access can be disabled using a shortcode parameter.

Running Apps on the Back-End #

Click the Run & Build App link or icon on the App Builder dashboard #

This feature is available exclusively to administrators from the App Builder dashboard. It allows administrators to customize apps without granting access to other users, providing a stable development environment to test and refine apps before deployment.

Authorize users and/or roles to access an app from their WordPress dashboard #

Administrators need to authorize specific users and/or roles to access the app from the back-end. Authorization management is handled via the App Manager, accessible to administrators from the App Builder dashboard by clicking the Manage App link or icon. Once authorized, a link to the app is automatically added to the user’s dashboard. This option is available only to registered users.

Running Apps on the Front-End #

Use Shortcode wpda_app #

An app can be run on the front-end using a shortcode, which can be generated through the App Manager.
