The global filter allows users to perform wildcard searches across all searchable columns. It can be disabled entirely or selectively for specific columns. To disable the global filter entirely, go to the Table Builder’s table menu and deselect the enable column filter option. To disable the global filter for specific columns, navigate to the Table Builder’s columns menu and deselect the searchable option.
By default, the database table is queried on startup. To start with an empty table and require users to perform a search before displaying any data, deselect the show empty table on startup option in the Table Builder’s table menu.
To activate the global filter, users need to click on the search icon at the top right of the table. The % character can be used to perform wildcard searches.
